I don't know what Kubernetes is.

Okay, so it's basically a system for running a bunch of applications in containers, and making sure they don't fall over. I know, it sounds like massive overkill, but apparently it's the only way to keep things running smoothly when you're dealing with a zillion microservices or whatever.
